Develop a carbon capture and storage (CCS) solution that can be installed on various ship types, and demonstrate its feasibility on a 1,400-TEU LNG-powered vessel.
Valorisation of On-board Captured COâ‚‚
Conduct a comparative analysis of CCUS projects in Northern Europe and assess the port-based COâ‚‚ supply chain.
E-fuels for Transport
Compare the readiness level of the four main e-fuels and produce a study highlighting the emissions associated with each energy source.
E-fuels for Aviation
Perform a techno-economic study on the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), focusing on synthetic fuel pathways and comparing “drop-in” versus “non-drop-in” solutions.
Ground Hydrogen in Europe
Build on the recent proof of concept launched to test, for the first time in Europe, zero-emission long-haul trucks powered by fuel cells.
Last-mile Deliveries
Accelerate the deployment of low-consumption vehicles (e-LDVs) for last-mile deliveries in Europe by creating a financing solution for small and medium-sized Delivery Service Providers (DSPs), facilitating their access to zero-emission vehicles.
Long-haul Road Transport
Support the European Clean Transport Network (ECTN) initiative led by CEVA Logistics, Engie and Sanef, which aims to build and operate a network of road terminals using low-carbon energy solutions. Test low-carbon long-distance freight transport in real-life conditions over a two-year period on French highways (900 km between Avignon and Lille).
Energy Impact of a Container Travelling Between Asia and Europe
Evaluate the impact of replacing fossil fuels with green electricity across the global door-to-door transport chain and identify the energy consumption at each stage of a container’s journey between Asia and Europe
Green Multimodal Hubs
Create a digital twin to support the energy transition of a green multimodal hub and develop a green label to accelerate modal shifts such as road-to-rail or road-to-river.
Decarbonize Port & Manage energies efficiency
Benchmark the energy used across six terminals with different operating contexts, and highlight opportunities for improving energy-efficiency management and reducing emissions.
Door-to-door Eco-calculator
Develop a proof of concept (POC) for a digital eco-calculator certifying the door-to-door COâ‚‚ impact of a given transport itinerary.
New Skills for a Successful Energy Transition
Improve understanding and awareness of how the energy transition affects workforce skills. The ecological transition impacts employment and requires workers in many sectors to reskill and upskill.
Role of Data and Cloud Technologies in Accelerating the Energy Transition
Identify key challenges that could be addressed through data and cloud technologies. While 72% of respondents acknowledge that achieving their sustainability goals is impossible without technology, only 21% report using technology effectively to support their sustainability strategy.
